It is a tribute to a beautiful creature, named Gracie, that my family shared beautiful places and beautiful moments with. Gracie was a 31 year old lesson horse that my wife rescued. She taught my wife how to ride, how to love without conditions, and how to let go. The two of them were inseparable. Sadly, in 2014 Gracie passed away.
I was so inspired by Gracie's honesty, strength and love that I wanted it to somehow live on. I felt this could be shared through beautiful surf art and building a few fun surfboards.
This feeling needed a name and I wanted it to connect to both Gracie and my lifelong love of the sea. This is how the name gracesea was created and became my board label.
The word gracesea, combined with the seahorse logo represent the beautiful creatures, beautiful places, and beautiful moments we experience in life. We all have those moments and sharing them helps me to see Gracie live on.
